In 2022, Love O’Connor invested in an idea she believed in. Today, that story continues as Shimmer Lovers: loose shimmer pigments, five favorite shades, and a love of making beauty personal.

This is a little piece of my story.
2022 · THE FIRST SPARK
An idea worth believing in.
I was a young entrepreneur dreaming of the freedom to build something of my own. A makeup artist’s story and talent inspired me. I invested my own money, brought another investor on board, and joined my makeup artist partner to turn that idea into a beauty business.
Then those little jars became personal. They caught the light like diamonds. I loved wearing the pigments, loved the compliments, and loved giving them to the people in my life.

THREE YEARS OF LISTENING
Your favorites became our signature.
Our customers showed us which shimmer eyeshadow shades they came back for. Makeup artists shared their favorites, too. Years of sales and feedback shaped the five signature colors in our collection today.
We learned something else along the way: a little extra gift can bring a lot of joy. That thought still guides the experience we create.
2026 · SHIMMER LOVERS
A new chapter, inspired by you.
My partner and I eventually chose different business paths. My love for the pigments stayed. So did your messages asking when you could shop with us again.
That encouragement helped bring us back as Shimmer Lovers: the shades you loved, the lessons we learned, and my belief that the joy of shimmer belongs at every age.
I still wear it. I still gift it. And I still get excited when someone asks what’s catching the light.
