Halloween Glitter Makeup: 3 Looks That Catch the Light
A flash of blue. A jeweled gold lid. A pink sparkle beneath graphic black liner. Make your Halloween makeup the main event with three creative looks from our photo archive.
1. The cosmic skull
Deep violet shading makes the electric-blue shimmer stand out in this skull-inspired look. Rhinestones and curved accents frame the eyes, while the stitched lip detail gives the design its Halloween character. The contrast does the work: dark, soft edges around a concentrated area of light.
Take one idea from the photograph rather than trying to copy every detail. A smoky eye with a small, bright center can suggest the same mood. Finish your matte shape first, then press shimmer onto the lid where you want the light to catch.

Make it your own: try a cool Silver Diamond accent over your preferred dark eye look. It gives a silver direction rather than reproducing the blue finish pictured.
2. The gilded, jeweled skull
Gold and silver reflections meet burgundy linework in this richly detailed skull design. The jewels trace the face, while luminous eyelids keep the eyes at the center of the look. A deep lip balances the brightness without competing with the fine lines.
For a simpler party version, borrow the color pairing: a warm shimmer lid, dark liner and a burgundy lip. You can keep the sculptural drawing as inspiration for an artist appointment, or choose a single graphic detail to practise beforehand.

Make it your own: explore Golden Hour for a warm gold direction, or Champagne for a more neutral sparkle. These are shade suggestions for your version, not an exact product breakdown of the photographs.
3. The sparkling harlequin
Pink and gold shimmer gives this graphic clown-inspired makeup a playful edge. Sharp black points, a tiny heart on the nose and a red lip make the character readable. The sparkle adds dimension between the drawn lines, rather than covering the whole design.
Choose one feature to lead. You might start with a shimmer eye and one small graphic accent, keeping the rest of the face simpler. Sketch the shape with your eyes open before committing to the final liner, and leave enough visible lid for the shimmer to show.

Make it your own: start with Rose Gold for rosy sparkle, or compare it with Pink Champagne for a softer color direction.
Before the party: place, press, check
- Plan the shape. Blend matte shadows and decide where the graphic details will go before adding loose shimmer.
- Start small. Pick up a little pigment with a clean fingertip or silicone applicator, tap off excess and press it onto the intended area.
- Build where it matters. Add a second thin layer only where you want more light. If using pigment gel, follow its directions and try the combination before the event.
- Check the whole look. Look with eyes open and closed, then take a photo in the lighting you expect at the party.
Use products only in the areas allowed by their labels, and keep loose pigment away from the waterline. The full-face artwork is inspiration, not a suggestion that one pigment is suitable for every area of the face.

Choose a shade you will wear after Halloween, too.
Start with one favorite if you know your color. If you want to explore more than one mood, Pick Your Three lets you choose your own combination. Silver for a graphic eye, gold for a warm look, rose for a playful accent—the next occasion is yours to decide.
The same jar can be a small finishing touch one day and the focus of a bolder look the next. The difference is your placement and how much you apply.
Keep exploring.
